Reports of Double-Brokering Increase
The illegal practice of double-brokering, where a carrier unlawfully brokers a load to another carrier after accepting it, has become increasingly common. This activity is causing significant financial losses for brokers and carriers and is detrimental to legitimate businesses.

In November, the company announced its intention to conduct additional trials of the Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck in hilly terrain.
The company’s objective is to achieve a range of at least 1,000 kilometers (equivalent to just over 621 miles), and it aims to commence series production in the latter half of the 2020s. Underhood fires prompt Navistar recall of 44,887 older trucks
Around 45,000 trucks manufactured between 2016 and 2020 are being recalled by Navistar due to three instances of under hood fires linked to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system.
All 44,887 affected vehicles could potentially experience a fire hazard. Navistar conducted an investigation after three fires were reported and concluded that low voltage and amperage to the power distribution module (PDM) was the probable cause. The initial fire took place in January 2022.

In an effort to assist drivers during the CVSA International Roadcheck (May 16-18, 2023), TA is providing a complimentary service.
