FMCSA names members of the new Women of Trucking panel...
A new federal advisory panel aimed at increasing the number of women in trucking was announced Monday by the Biden administration.
There are five women who are currently commercial truck drivers and four former drivers, trainers and executives on the Women in Trucking Advisory Board (WOTAB). These drivers work for small, medium, and large trucking companies, as well as for independent owners-operators. There are also representatives from trucking associations, labor, and higher education.

A partnership between the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Transportation Builders Association, and One.network has resulted in the $200,000 yearlong pilot project of Lane Closure Notification System (financed by state transportation funds).

There have been 3,537 commercial vehicle crashes on Interstate 10 in Houston since 2017, making it the most dangerous highway in Harris County for commercial vehicles. In the past five years, 101 commercial vehicle accidents have occurred at the interchange where I-10 meets Beltway 8 in Spring Branch.
